Official Sources: No Restructuring of National Investment Authority

Informed sources have revealed that the Ministry of Investment will not be restructured and employees will be transferred from the Ministry of Investment to the National Investment Authority.
The source told Sudanhorizon that the National Investment Authority will likely be directly affiliated to the Sovereign Council in lieu of the Cabinet.
The sources stressed that the government is paying special attention to investment in the coming period, especially in reconstruction, indicating that the authority’s attachment to the Sovereign Council will significantly improve investment procedures.
Last month, Prime Minister Kamei Idriss announced the cancellation of the Ministry of Investment, to be replaced with the National Investment Authority. The sources also announced the separation of the International Cooperation Department from the Authority and its affiliation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
