Security and Defense Council Reviews Developments Following Al-Uwaynat Attack

The Sudanese National Security and Defense Council held a meeting on Wednesday, chaired by the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.
The meeting was attended by members of the Sovereignty Council and the Prime Minister, as well as representatives from the Ministries of Defense, Foreign Affairs, Culture, and Information, the National Security and General Intelligence Service, the Military Intelligence Service, the Commander of the Red Sea Military Region, and the Governor of the Red Sea State.
The Sudan News Agency (SUNA) quoted Graham Abdel Qader, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information and the Minister in Charge, as saying that the meeting discussed security developments in the country and efforts to address the emerging changes.
He added that the council was reassured of the overall situation in the country and the measures taken in this regard, following the attack on the Al-Uwaynat area in the border triangle between Sudan, Egypt, and Libya by forces loyal to Libyan General Khalifa Haftar.
