Al-Burhan in Antalya, Turkey after Asmara

Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, arrived in the Turkish city of Antalya on Friday to participate in the activities of the 4th Antalya Diplomatic Forum 2025 at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Several heads of state and leaders of regional and international organizations attended the event.

Al-Burhan concluded a short visit yesterday, on Thursday, to the Eritrean capital, Asmara. During this visit, he met with President Isaias Afwerki and discussed several issues of mutual interest.

The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council will hold bilateral talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to review the progress of bilateral relations and ways to enhance, develop, and strengthen them in various fields, as well as prospects for advancing joint cooperation between the two countries, in addition to issues of common interest, according to a press release issued by the Sovereignty Council Media Office.

The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council will be accompanied by Ambassador Dr. Ali Youssef, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufadal, Director of the General Intelligence Service, and Lieutenant General Mirghani Idris, Director of the Defense Industries Organization.
