Malaria Vaccination Campaign for Children Launched in Blue Nile Region

The Governor of the Blue Nile Region, Ahmed Al-Omda Badi, launched a campaign on Wednesday in Damazin to introduce the malaria vaccine as part of the routine immunization program for children.
The Director of Primary Healthcare in the region, Sawsan Omar, confirmed that the administration is fully prepared to vaccinate children under one year old free of charge in the Damazin, Roseires, and Tadamon districts.
Notably, Sudan is the first country in the Middle East to introduce the malaria vaccine for children. The vaccination process will occur in four phases across 15 Gedaref State localities and three Blue Nile districts.
