Khartoum Security Committee Announces Relative Improvement in Fuel Distribution
Khartoum – Sudanhorizon
The Khartoum Locality Security Affairs Coordination Committee has reported a relative improvement in fuel distribution at service stations, accompanied by a reduction in vehicle queues outside fuel pumps.
The announcement came during an inspection tour conducted by the committee, headed by the locality’s Executive Director, Abdel Moneim Al-Bashir, at several fuel stations. The committee observed that the stations were complying with regulations governing fuel distribution issued by the relevant authorities at the state and locality levels.
During the tour, the committee identified violations involving unlicensed vehicles, rickshaws and motorcycles. Traffic police took the necessary legal measures in response.
The committee stressed the need to prioritise buses and public transport vehicles when allocating fuel, adhere to the prescribed fuel quotas for private vehicles, and use cargo manifests as the required documentation for issuing fuel to transport vehicles.
The committee reassured residents that fuel supplies are expected to flow steadily over the coming days, in line with reports on fuel deliveries arriving in the capital.
