Dr. Nasser Al-Hatlan Al-Qahtani, Director-General of the Arab Administrative Development Organization, affiliated with the League of Arab States, confirmed that Sudan will host the Sixth Arab Conference on Administration and Development in 2027, in a move aimed at strengthening Arab cooperation and supporting recovery and reconstruction efforts.
The announcement came during Sudan’s participation in the Fifth Arab Conference on Sports and Law in Cairo, headed by Federal Minister of Youth and Sports Professor Ahmed Adam Ahmed. The Sudanese delegation discussed prospects for joint cooperation with the Arab Administrative Development Organization and ways to benefit from its expertise in improving institutional performance, building capacity, and training national personnel.
The discussions also addressed a proposal to sign a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the organization to strengthen cooperation in relevant fields and draw on its administrative and training expertise to support national recovery efforts, develop institutions, and improve performance efficiency in Sudan.
Sudan’s hosting of the conference comes within the broader framework of strengthening Arab partnerships and expanding cooperation in administrative development. It will provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and expertise and benefit from specialized programmes for capacity-building, recovery, and reconstruction.
In addition to the minister, the Sudanese delegation participating in the Fifth Arab Conference on Sports and Law includes Abdulrahim Al-Siddiq Al-Hafian, Federal Director of Sports; Engineer Ezzeldin Al-Haj, Director of the Youth and Sports Activities Support Fund; and Federal Commissioner Ayman Darrar.
