RSF Militia Targets UN Aid Convoys in Dilling

Khartoum – Sudanhorizon

The Sudan News Agency (SUNA) reported on Saturday that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia had targeted, over the past two days, food trucks belonging to the World Food Programme (WFP) in the city of Dilling, South Kordofan State, with drones, resulting in serious injuries among WFP personnel.

The World Food Programme is expected to issue a statement detailing the extent of the losses resulting from the attack.

Earlier, a WFP humanitarian convoy in North Kordofan State was attacked by a drone launched by the RSF militia, killing one aid worker and destroying aid shipments. The attack came amid other attacks targeting buses carrying displaced people and medical facilities, which resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries.

The RSF militia’s targeting of humanitarian convoys, particularly those heading toward the city of El Obeid, represents a continuation of efforts to obstruct the delivery of aid to affected areas.
