Al-Burhan: We Will Not Debase Ourselves, nor Bow to Anyone; We Seek No One’s Approval

General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), stated that the country would not yield to any pressure or blackmail, affirming that Sudan’s voice would remain loud and clear.

Speaking today at Khartoum Stadium—where the “We Have Not Forgotten You” initiative to support the health sector was launched, bringing together content creators, athletes, and a broad spectrum of youth—Al-Burhan highlighted that Sudan’s youth are always at the forefront. He noted their valued national contributions across various fields and added: “We will hold our heads high; we will not compromise, degrade ourselves for anyone, or bow to anyone.” He emphasized that Sudanese people cannot be blackmailed or intimidated, and that the country is in safe hands and will never kneel before anyone as long as its youth possess such energy and initiative.

The Commander-in-Chief saluted the youth standing on the front lines of the “Battle of Dignity,” those on the sports fields, and those defending the country and its people via social media. He affirmed that everyone stands united for the sake of the homeland, adding, “We will raise the flag and name of Sudan high,” and reiterating his pledge to the people and the martyrs that this flag would never be lowered.

Al-Burhan emphasized that the primary objective is to eliminate the rebel militia, whatever the cost, stating: “Our goal is to cleanse all of Sudan—including Darfur—of this scum.” The Commander-in-Chief concluded his remarks by saying, “We seek neither a visa for any country nor permission from anyone,” affirming the determination to press ahead with eliminating the rebels and cleansing the country of the taint of rebellion.
