Burhan Receives Credentials of New Azerbaijani Ambassador

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, received the credentials of Ambassador Elkhan Bulukh Bulukhov, the new Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Sudan, at the Presidential Palace today. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohi El-Din Salem, was also present.

The Chairman of the Sovereign Council welcomed the new ambassador, wishing him success in his duties and emphasizing the importance of advancing and strengthening relations between the two countries towards further development and prosperity.

For his part, the Azerbaijani ambassador, in a press statement, praised the deep-rooted fraternal and historical ties between the two countries and their peoples. He said, “We are confident that this friendship will continue, and that we will always support each other in various international forums.”

The ambassador affirmed his support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both countries, expressing his appreciation for the distinguished and longstanding relations between the governments and peoples of Sudan and Azerbaijan, and wishing Sudan and its people continued prosperity.
