Sudanese FM Discusses Red Sea Security with Yemeni Counterpart

Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mohi El-Din Salem, on Saturday talked over the telephone with his Yemeni counterpart, Dr. Afrah Abdul Aziz Al-Zuba, Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs. He congratulated her on her appointment, wishing her success in her job and for Yemeni people continued security, stability, and prosperity.
The Minister praised the deep-rooted fraternal and historical relations between Sudan and Yemen, emphasizing the Sudanese government’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation with Yemen and elevating it to broader horizons, in order to achieve the common interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples.
For her part, the Yemeni Minister expressed her gratitude to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for his kind congratulations, affirming her country’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations with Sudan and develop areas of cooperation and coordination between the two countries.
During the call, the two sides discussed the latest regional developments, particularly Red Sea security. They emphasized the importance of intensifying coordination and cooperation among the littoral states to contribute to maintaining Red Sea security, protecting the freedom and safety of international navigation, and enhancing security and stability in the region, based on the shared responsibility of its countries.
