World Cup: Round of 32 Map Gradually Completes… 28 Teams Qualify, 9 Clashes Confirmed

The number of teams officially qualified for the Round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup has risen to 28 after the conclusion of the group stage matches. Only four spots remain to determine all the teams advancing to the knockout rounds.
Russia Today Arabic (RT) reported that the final round (yesterday) saw Belgium, Egypt, and Cape Verde qualify, joining the list of teams that have already secured their place:
Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Canada, Cape Verde, Colombia, Ivory Coast, Ecuador, Egypt, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States, Ghana, Austria, Uzbekistan, and Croatia.
Meanwhile, nine of the 16 Round of 32 matchups have been confirmed, as follows:
South Africa vs. Canada
Germany vs. Paraguay
Brazil vs. Japan
Netherlands vs. Morocco
France vs. Sweden
Ivory Coast vs. Norway
United States vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina
Argentina vs. Cape Verde
Egypt vs. Australia
Six more matches remain to be played, pending the conclusion of the remaining group stage matches. These matches will determine the final four qualifying teams, as well as the ranking of the best third-placed teams, before the knockout stages begin.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This will be the first edition to feature 48 teams, with the top two teams from each group, along with the eight best third-placed teams, advancing to the knockout stage. The tournament will conclude on July 19.
