Sudan’s Animal Resources Minister: The Need to Adopt Modern Technologies in Livestock Development

The Sudanese Minister of Livestock and Fisheries, Ahmed Al-Tijani Al-Mansouri, has stressed the need for adopting innovative ideas and modern technologies in seeking to develop the country’s livestock sector.
The minister made the remarks in his address before the training workshop on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Livestock and Agricultural Production – Dairy,” under the slogan “Together Towards Innovative Leadership in the Dairy Industry,” organized by the Ministry in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development on Sunday.
The Minister explained that the workshop is part of the joint cooperation between the Ministry and the Organization, aiming to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the livestock production sector, including dairy, fish, and meat.
He added that this contributes to empowering young people to develop productive projects, leveraging their renewable energy and utilizing their entrepreneurial potential.
He pointed to the importance of capacity building and enhancing the skills of entrepreneurs, which contributes to creating new job opportunities to support small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Director of the Training Unit at the Ministry, Tahani Mohamed Awad, stated that the workshop is a genuine platform for exchanging experiences, building partnerships, and launching initiatives that serve the livestock sector, which represents the cornerstone of economic security and the national economy.
For his part, trainer Professor Osama Abdel Wahab confirmed that the workshop addresses the shift towards modern technology, artificial intelligence, and digital technology in the animal and agricultural production sector, and how to guide and support businesses in the livestock industry.
