Sudanese Security Units Thwart Smuggling of Over 23 Kilograms of Raw Gold

On Monday, the Mining Police in River Nile State – Dar Mali Market – thwarted an attempt to smuggle 23,728.5 kilograms of raw gold.
Minister of Minerals, Nour Al-Daem Taha, praised the operation, stating that this success confirms the vigilance and efficiency of the Mining Police and all relevant agencies, as well as the state’s determination to protect its strategic resources and safeguard the wealth of the Sudanese people.
He reiterated the commitment to combating smuggling and illegal mining, and to showing zero tolerance for any practices that target the national economy or squander the rights of future generations.
