Zain Ranked First Globally in Telecommunications Sector Among “World’s Best Employers”
Kuwait – Sudanhorizon– News Desk
Zain Group has announced that it has topped the global telecommunications sector as one of the “World’s Best Employers” in the recently released list by the American business magazine *Forbes* (Forbes World’s Best Employers 2026).
The Group stated that this high global ranking reflects its strategic approach to fostering a work environment that embraces innovation, empowerment, and excellence. This approach is supported by high-quality initiatives aimed at attracting and developing talent, as well as embedding principles of inclusion, diversity, and equity.
These efforts have driven a significant leap for the Group on the global list over the past year—climbing 74 steps to join the top 100 companies worldwide—and securing the second-highest ranking across the Middle East and Africa markets.
The Forbes ranking was based on an extensive global study covering over 300,000 employees across more than 50 countries, all working for multinational companies with workforces exceeding 1,000 employees. Participants evaluated their employers based on various indicators related to the employee experience—including benefits, talent development, work environment, and professional training opportunities—as well as their willingness to recommend their employers to others. The results also drew upon a cumulative database spanning the past three years, with greater weight given to recent evaluations and the opinions of current employees. The results of this ranking are particularly significant as they are primarily based on assessments by the employees themselves, providing an independent indicator of corporate culture strength, trust levels, employee engagement, and satisfaction.
These elements are currently among the most critical factors influencing an organization’s ability to attract and retain talent and enhance its competitiveness in the global business environment—especially given the rapid transformations within the digital economy and the intensifying competition for top-tier talent and specialized expertise.
Bader Nasser Al-Kharafi, Vice-Chairman and Group CEO of Zain Group, stated: “Zain’s leadership in the global telecommunications sector is the result of fostering a work environment that nurtures innovation, empowerment, and excellence. This achievement embodies our vision of building an organization that places people at the core of its strategy and views talent as a fundamental pillar for expansion and growth.”
It is worth noting that this high ranking for Zain Group coincides with a recent upgrade in its MSCI ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) rating from “A” to “AA.” This makes Zain the highest-rated company in Kuwait across all sectors within the MSCI assessment scope and places it in the “Leader” category among global telecommunications companies.
