Youth Initiative Launched to Rehabilitate the Youth and Children’s Palace Library

Minister of Youth and Sports Ahmed Adam Ahmed received a group of volunteer youth and graduates of the Youth and Children’s Palace at his office on Saturday to discuss an initiative aimed at restoring the palace library to its former status and reviving its cultural and educational role.
The minister reaffirmed the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ commitment to revitalizing youth and cultural institutions, praising the efforts of volunteers and palace alumni in supporting the initiative and preserving the palace’s cultural legacy.
He stated: “The Youth and Children’s Palace Library is an integral part of the history of the youth and cultural movement in Sudan. We will work alongside its alumni and volunteers to restore it to its former glory so that it remains a beacon of knowledge, learning, and creativity, and a destination for young people and children.”
For his part, Luay Omar Barakat, Director of the Youth and Children’s Palace, said the initiative reflects the strong sense of belonging among the palace’s graduates and youth. He noted that cooperation between the ministry, the palace administration, and volunteers would help restore the library’s leading position and reactivate its cultural and educational programs.
