Cairo – Sudanhorizon – Sabah Moussa
The Governor of West Kordofan, Gen. Mohamed Adam Mohamed Jaayed has explained that the recent events in the state have created a dire humanitarian situation, and that huge numbers of citizens have been displaced from their areas and homes to North Kordofan state.
Jaayed told Sudanhorizon news website that most of these displaced people are still out in the open and on the roads, traveling on foot and riding animals in their trip out of the area.
He added that the Humanitarian Aid Commission in the state has intervened to assist many of them and that the center is fully cooperating and has sent trucks loaded with humanitarian aid.
The Governor of West Kordofan confirmed that a part of the state has been liberated, and that significant efforts are being made to completely cleanse the state of the Rapid Support Forces militia elements shortly.
He pinpointed: “I was in the state but then I had to move to North Kordofan to manage the humanitarian file there,” noting that this was the first time he visited the center since taking office, to present his vision and reach solutions.
He stated that there are other dilemmas related to social issues and reconciliations, as well as some matters concerning mending the social fabric.
The Governor has stressed the position of the true patriots from the state’s people has been clear regarding the war, as they stand alongside the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and their homeland.
He further explained that there are few elements within the state who responded to the Rapid Support Forces militia, adding that these individuals respond to the paid calls of the militia and accept these positions which he described as ‘cheap.’
He affirmed that there are only a few members of the ‘Hamar’ tribe who align with the rebellion’s propositions based on their interests and who sympathize with the Rapid Support Forces militia.
