US Secretary of State to Discuss Peace in Several Countries, Including Sudan, with G7 Ministers

The US State Department Spokesperson announced that Secretary of State Marco Rubio, currently visiting Canada to participate in the G7 foreign ministers’ meeting, will discuss achieving peace and advancing US interests in the areas of peace and security, strategic cooperation, and global stability, including peace in several countries, including Sudan.
A statement issued by the spokesperson on Sunday said that Marco Rubio traveled to the Niagara region of Ontario, Canada, to attend the G7 foreign ministers’ meeting on November 11 and 12.
According to the statement, Secretary Rubio will work to advance US interests in the areas of peace and security, strategic cooperation, and global stability. Discussions will focus on advancing President Trump’s peace initiatives in Ukraine and Gaza, maritime security, Haiti, Sudan, supply chain resilience, and essential metals.
The G7 comprises Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The European Union participates in the G7 as a non-enumerated.
