US Secretary of State Calls with Saudi Counterpart Discussed Sudan Among issues of Mutual Interest

The US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke by phone on Tuesday with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, discussing the successful visit of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Washington.

A statement by the State Department said the said visit has reaffirmed the strength of the US-Saudi partnership.

Deputy State Department Spokesperson Tommy Pigott said the two ministers also discussed developments in Yemen and the urgent need to advance peace efforts in Sudan.
