Turkish Ambassador: Ankara Stands Ready to Support Sudan

The Vice-President of the Sovereign Council, Malik Agar, held a meeting on Monday with the Turkish Ambassador to Sudan, Fatih Yildiz.
During the meeting, Agar expressed Sudanese government appreciation for Turkey’s significant role towards achieving peace and stability in the country, emphasizing Sudan’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations and develop joint cooperation in all fields to serve the interests of both countries.
For his part, the Turkish Ambassador affirmed in a press statement his country’s readiness to work with the Sudanese authorities to support Sudan’s positions regarding preserving its territorial integrity and sovereignty, ensuring its independence, and preventing interference in its internal affairs.
He stated that he briefed the Vice President of the Sovereign Council on Turkish efforts to enhance relations between the two countries and expand them to broader horizons.
He also explained that the meeting addressed the humanitarian aid recently provided by Turkey, particularly during the past month, which saw the arrival of four aid ships, affirming his country’s determination to continue this efforts towards Sudan.
