Transitional Prime Minister Receives Turkish Ambassador to Sudan

Transitional Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris received the Turkish Ambassador to Sudan, Fatih Yildiz, this afternoon, on Saturday, in Port Sudan. The ambassador congratulated the Prime Minister on assuming his position and on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. The two sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
In a press statement following the meeting, Ambassador Yildiz emphasized the strength of relations between the two countries, noting that he conveyed the congratulations of President Erdoğan and the Turkish people to the Prime Minister on assuming his position, as well as on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. He affirmed the Republic of Turkey’s readiness to cooperate with Sudan in all fields, in addition to actively participating in the reconstruction efforts following the war.
Ambassador Fatih Yildiz explained that a joint council will be formed, comprising businessmen and entrepreneurs from both countries, to contribute to strengthening relations. He noted that Ziraat Katalim Bank will open a branch in Port Sudan in the coming period to develop trade relations between the two countries.
