The Wicked Agent Threatens the “Little Terrorist”

Mahjoub Fadl Badri
With his slender, spear-like frame, radiant face, confident stride, and clear words during his visit to the village of Surhan in Al-Gazira State, the young fighter Al-Misbah Talha stirred the anger and jealousy of Khalid Slik—himself a son of Al-Gazira. When the Dagalo militia ravaged the blood, honour, and property of the people of Al-Gazira, Slik found no fault in that. Yet—fairness requires it be said—he did intercede on behalf of his family in Fadasi with Commander Keikel, who at the time was aligned with the militia before coming to his senses, siding with the army, purifying his intentions, and correcting his course. Under his leadership, the “Shield of Sudan” forces have since offered martyrs and wounded across several fronts, striving to atone for past missteps. Nevertheless, he did not escape being alluded to in Al-Misbah’s speech during that visit.
Was that remark a point of consensus within the army and the supporting forces?
The answer, unequivocally, is no. What the armoured units, Al-Bara’ formations, and the Joint Forces are doing is highly esteemed by both the people and the army. This is not a time for settling scores, casting doubt, or apportioning blame. Such conduct would undermine trust and fracture unity when we have been commanded to fight as a solidly constructed edifice.
Yet the opportunist—harbouring resentment toward both army and people—seized upon this opening to deliver his blow. He issued an empty threat against the fighter Al-Misbah, labelling him a “little terrorist” and vowing that he would “pay dearly”. One must ask: which side truly deserves your threats, Slik? The Dagalo militia, widely accused of terrorising civilians—or Al-Misbah?
As the popular saying goes about such behaviour: “Unable to discipline his own wife, he goes off to chastise his sister-in-law.”
