Sudan’s PM to Hold Meetings with International Organization leaders

Transitional Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris will begin his first round of talks with international officials in Geneva on Thursday.
The Prime Minister will begin his meeting with the Director-General of the World Health Organization, the Sudanhorizon website learned.
Idris arrived in Geneva on Tuesday for a short visit that includes a number of meetings with senior international officials, most notably the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Secretary-General of the World Council of Churches, the High Commissioner for Refugees, and the Director-General of the International Organization for Migration.
The meetings will address the Hope Government’s peace initiative, explaining its contents and the role required of the international community in supporting and bolstering the initiative.
During these meetings, the Prime Minister will present a detailed overview of the Hope Government’s efforts and the progress achieved in creating a conducive environment for the return of internally displaced persons and refugees.
He will also highlight the challenges facing the government and the role required to be played by international organizations and UN agencies in reconstruction and repairing the damage caused by the militias.
