Sudanese Sovereign Council Chairman Leaves for Doha, Monday

The Chairman of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, will lead the Sudan delegation participating in the emergency Arab Summit and the Islamic Summit, both being convened in Doha, at the request of the State of Qatar.
Well-informed sources told Sudanhorizon news website, the visit will be for one day, and that Burhan will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Mohieddin Salem. The Chairman of the Sovereign Council is expected to meet with a number of heads of state and government and heads of delegations on the sidelines of the Arab and Islamic Summit.
Sudanhorizon also learned that Sudan’s Ambassador to Cairo and its representative to the Arab League, Ambassador Imad El-Din Adawi, and the Chargé d’Affaires at the Sudanese Embassy in Doha will participate in the ministerial meeting of the two summits, scheduled to be held Sunday, on behalf of Foreign Minister Mohieddin Salem, who was sworn in two days ago and officially assumed his duties today.
The Arab and Islamic summit is being held against the backdrop of the aggression launched by Israeli warplanes against locations in the Qatari capital, Doha, targeting the Hamas negotiating delegation.
