Sudanese Political Leaders Discuss Launching Comprehensive Dialogue with U.S. Envoy

Today (Saturday) in Cairo, leaders from the Forces of Freedom and Change- Democratic Bloc- met with the U.S. Special Envoy to Sudan, Tom Perriello, to discuss ways to initiate a Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue to resolve the country’s political crisis.
Mubarak Ardol, a leader within the Democratic Bloc, posted on Facebook: “We in the Democratic Bloc met with the U.S. Special Envoy to Sudan, Tom Perriello, and discussed various issues, including exploring ways to resolve the Sudanese crisis. We focused on the humanitarian situation, the political path represented by the Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue, and the resumption of ceasefire negotiations in line with the Jeddah Declaration.
