Sudanese National Team Transfers Camp to Mauritania

The technical director of the Sudanese national football team, Ghanaian Kwesi Appiah, revealed the destination of the Falcons of Jediane camp next to meet the African Nations qualifiers for local players at the end of October.

He said in press statements to the Sudanese Football Association media office following the victory over Ghana on Tuesday afternoon with two goals to none in the fourth round of Group One in the African Nations qualifiers, “Now we are going to the local championship “CHAN” in Tanzania’s stadiums, we will go first to Mauritania to prepare the team”.

He noted “Playing against Tanzania will be difficult and we have to prepare well to ensure success in the mission”.

Kwesi Appiah expressed his happiness with the Falcons of Jediane’s victory over his country’s team (Ghana) in the qualifiers for the African Nations finals scheduled in Morocco next year with a big and important victory.

He pointed out that “yesterday’s match was difficult to play against Ghana, which is one of the best African countries in football,”
He added “We went to Ghana and tied, and we knew here that it would be a difficult match. We performed our best and changed our way of playing, and the boys sacrificed for their people and played with fighting spirit for Sudan”.

The draw for the qualifiers for the CHAN Championship for local players placed Sudan in a match against Tanzania
on October 25 or 27, and the return match will be on November 3.

In the event that Tanzania passes, it will play with the winner of Ethiopia and Eritrea.

(Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania) will host the tournament finals from February 1 to 28, 2025, and two rounds of the qualifiers will be played in a home-and-away system, before the continental finals.

The first round of the qualifiers will take place on October 25 to 27, and November 1 to 3, 2024, while the second round will be held from December 20 to 22, and December 27 to 29, 2024.

The African Nations Championship has been an exceptional competition for discovering talents on the African continent since its launch in 2009.
