Sudanese National Team Arrives in Benghazi

Benghazi – Sudanhorizon

The Sudanese national football team arrived in Benghazi at dawn on Saturday, from the Ghanaian capital, Accra, on a private plane to meet the fourth round of the African Nations qualifiers against Ghana at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium next Tuesday against Ghana.

The mission includes 27 players in the absence of the duo Sharaf Shiboub and Bakhit Khamis, and the latter is expected to join the list and become available to the technical staff later.

The team must win the match to maintain their chances of qualifying for the finals with Angola, the first candidate after their victory yesterday over Niger and topping the group with 6 points.

The Sudanese Football Association announced two days ago that the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-burhan, had directed the allocation of a plane to transport the national team players from Ghana to Libya.
