Sudanese gymnast Mohamed Hassan is set to compete on Sunday in the final of the Pharaohs International Gymnastics Championship, an event featuring participants from 18 countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe.

Mohamed Osman Al-Khalifa, President of the Sudanese Gymnastics Federation, expressed delight at Mohamed Hassan’s qualification for the final. He noted that the Federation has achieved success in various international competitions, including victories by female gymnasts and medal wins at the Egypt Cup and the Egyptian National Championship.

In press statements, Al-Khalifa announced that the Federation has finalized a training plan for the national gymnastics team. This includes a training camp in Turkey—sponsored by the Defense Industries System—starting at the end of this year, and another camp in Egypt this coming December. Additionally, an Olympic Solidarity course for coach certification will be held next November, led by an expert from Sweden, with the aim of standardizing the training methodology for the sport.

He added that 24 male and 6 female coaches would participate in the course, affirming that the Federation is steadily advancing toward excellence, the pinnacle of success, and the podium.
