Sudanese Army Takes Control of the Main Headquarters of the Central Bank of Sudan in the Capital

The Sudanese army has taken control of the main headquarters of the Central Bank of Sudan in the capital, Khartoum.

According to field sources who spoke to the Sudanhorizon news website, army forces succeeded early this morning (Thursday) in advancing in the Al-Mugran area of Khartoum (the confluence of the two Niles) to take control of several strategic sites that had been occupied by forces from the Rapid Support Forces militia.

Since early last Thursday, the army forces have crossed three major bridges in the capital as part of a military plan to regain control of key points within the capital’s triangle.
