New York – Mariam Abashar – Special
Sudan’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations has completed preparations for the special session that the UN Security Council is holding at its request, with informed sources telling Sudanhorizon that the mission has prepared a briefing documented with evidence and proof, detailing the targeting of vital facilities and infrastructure by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the Red Sea State and several other states, including electricity transformer stations and fuel depots.
A report received by the Sudanhorizon news website has indicated that the session will be held at 10:00 a.m. London time and will be video recorded.
Sudanhorizon had previously reported that Sudan had submitted a request by its Permanent Mission in New York to the UN Security Council to hold a special session on Sudan following the recent systematic targeting of vital facilities by the RSF in several states, most notably the Red Sea, River Nile, and Northern Sudan.
