Sudan Participates in Cairo’s International Mining Economics Exhibition

The General Authority for Geological Research (the technical arm of the Ministry of Minerals) is participating in the 11th International Mining and Quarrying Economics Forum and Exhibition in the Arab World (ECOMINEX 11), scheduled to be held from May 16 to 18, 2026, in Cairo, Egypt. The event will see wide participation from experts, researchers, and specialists in the mining sector from around the world.
The Authority’s representative, Mining Consultant Engineer Mohamed Ezz El-Din Mohamed Ali, will present a specialized scientific paper entitled: “Evaluation of Froth Flotation Performance for Copper Oxide Ore from the Red Sea State, Sudan.”
The paper addresses the evaluation of the performance of froth flotation technology for copper oxide ore in the Red Sea State, reflecting the growing interest in developing studies on mineral processing and maximizing their economic benefits.
The forum brings together a select group of experts and speakers from around the world, featuring diverse scientific and professional content presented through specialized lectures, panel discussions, and research papers highlighting the latest developments in mining, mine economics, and quarrying.
The Authority’s participation comes within the framework of its efforts to enhance Sudan’s scientific and technical presence in regional and international forums related to the mining sector and geological research, as well as to exchange expertise and experiences in exploration and modern mining technologies.
