Sudan Horizon: Successfully Connecting Italian Researcher and Sudanese Expert in China

A few days ago, the Sudanhorizon website, a sister site to the Al-Muhaqqiq news website, received an email from Dr. Mariasol Padova, an Italian professor at the University of Padua. In her email, she stated that she follows the website’s content and is currently visiting China to deliver lectures. She mentioned reading a report by Osama Mukhtar, the Sudanese Radio correspondent in China, and would be grateful if the website could facilitate a meeting with him. She also included links to several of her publications.
After reviewing the email, the editor-in-chief forwarded it to Osama Mukhtar, who then contacted Dr. Maria and invited her to visit the Sudanese Embassy in Beijing. She accepted the invitation and extended an invitation to the embassy staff to attend a lecture she delivered two days ago at Peking University on water issues. She also met with a number of Sudanese students and exchanged conversations with them about her academic experience and her interest in Sudan.
Osama Mukhtar conveyed Dr. Maria’s thanks and appreciation to Sudan Horizon management and its staff for providing this opportunity for positive interaction. He added that she spoke warmly and with great respect about Sudan and her many Sudanese friends and acquaintances.
