Sudan and WFP Agree to Expand Humanitarian Interventions in Most Vulnerable Areas

Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Malik Agar, agreed with the Sudan Representative of the World Food Programme, Abdullah Al-Wardat, to expand the scope of humanitarian interventions in the areas most in need. The agreement came during their meeting today in Port Sudan, where both sides also emphasized strengthening coordination with national authorities to ensure aid reaches beneficiaries efficiently and effectively.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation to support humanitarian efforts and improve living conditions for citizens amid current challenges. Malik Agar reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the World Food Programme to alleviate the suffering of citizens and promote stability.

For his part, Abdullah Al-Wardat expressed the program’s commitment to continuing its support for Sudan and working closely with government bodies and partners to achieve food security and strengthen livelihoods.
