Sudan Ambassador: More of our Businessmen Seek Investing in Egypt

The Sudanese Ambassador to Egypt, Ambassador Imad Adawi, has revealed that a growing desire number of Sudanese businessmen and investors are seeking to enter Egyptian markets and create smart partnerships with their Egyptian counterpart in a way that enhances the principle of linking interests, unity of purpose and common destiny.
Ambassador Adawi has stressed in his address before the opening session of the Sudanese Businessmen Forum on Thursday morning at the headquarters of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones in Cairo, Sudan’s pride in the historical relations with Egypt.
The ambassador pointed to the ongoing efforts and continuous joint action to advance investment relations between the two countries, especially since they contain many opportunities and incentives that would raise the rates of exchange between the two countries and move the current economic relations between the two brotherly countries to higher levels.
Ambassador Adawi appreciated the interaction of the Egyptian government and its various institutions with the recommendations of the first forum for Egyptian-Sudanese businessmen, which was organized by the Sudanese embassy in Egypt under the patronage of Al-Fari Kamel Al-Wazir – Deputy Prime Minister of Egypt for Industrial Development Affairs, on November 23, and noted the great openness created by the forum.
He further stressed Sudanese government’s aspiration for an effective Egyptian participation in the activities of the second edition of the forum, which will be held in Port Sudan during the first half of this year.
For his part, the CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, Hossam Heiba, has confirmed the Authority’s aspiration to contribute in creating a positive qualitative shift in the brotherly relations between Sudan and Egypt, and to support the efforts of integration between the business sectors in the two brotherly countries.
The Head of the Egyptian Commercial Representation Authority, Dr. Yahya Al-Wathiq Billah, stressed the special and eternal nature of Sudanese-Egyptian relations and the Authority’s aspiration to cooperate with the General Authority for Investment to attract Sudanese businessmen and investors to the Egyptian markets and engage in partnerships that establish a new phase of strategic partnership between the two countries.
