Sprinter Jumaa to Lead Sudan in 1500m Race at Islamic Solidarity Games

Sudanese sprinter Nasser Jumaa will kick off his participation in the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh Monday, by competing in the 1500m race at 11:00 AM, marking the start of the athletics team’s participation in the sixth edition of the Games.

Nader Ismail will on the other hand participate in the 10,000m race on Tuesday evening, and champion Hanouya Adam Hamed will compete in the 5000m race on Wednesday evening, as will runner Babiker Abdo Ali in the same race.

Coach Saleh Adam Dar confirmed the athletes’ readiness despite the difficult circumstances, noting that the goal is to achieve a respectable participation and gain international experience that will enhance the team’s performance.

For his part, Nasser Jumaa expressed his pride in participating and thanked the General Federation and the technical staff for their support, affirming his determination to represent Sudan in the best possible way and raise the country’s flag at this sporting event.
