Sovereignty Council Chairman Receives Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Khartoum

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, received at his office in Khartoum on Thursday the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Sudan and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Ambassador Mohammed Maa Al-Ainin.

The meeting discussed a number of issues concerning the diplomatic presence in Khartoum, as well as bilateral matters between the two countries.

The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council affirmed the strength of Sudanese–Moroccan relations, pointing to the longstanding historical and fraternal ties linking the two peoples.

A press statement issued by the Sovereignty Council’s Media Office indicated that the meeting also reviewed the course of bilateral cooperation across various fields, underscoring the two countries’ keenness to strengthen joint cooperation in a manner that serves the interests of the Sudanese and Moroccan peoples.

The Moroccan ambassador congratulated the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council on the government’s return to operating from the capital, Khartoum, praising efforts aimed at normalizing life and laying the foundations for security, peace, and stability.
