Sovereignty Council Chairman and Police Chief Discuss Security and Anti-crime Plans

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, discussed with the Director-General of the Police Forces, Lieutenant General of Police, Lawyer Khaled Hassan Mohieddin, the police’s plans to secure cities in light of the current circumstances in the country and to enhance the police’s role in maintaining security.

The Council Chairman was briefed on the overall security and police situation in the country and the efforts made by the police forces to combat crime and combat negative phenomena, according to a press release issued by the Transitional Sovereignty Council’s media department.

The Director-General of Police explained in a press statement that the meeting addressed the role of the police during the next phase and the importance of relocating its various units and assuming their duties from the State of Khartoum. He emphasized the continued efforts of the police forces to provide all services to the public.
