Sovereign Council Pledges to Ensure Financial Flows for Returnees

On Monday, Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber, reaffirmed the state’s determination to press ahead with completing the mission of returning citizens to Khartoum State under safe and stable conditions and within a healthy environment where all essential services are available.
Presiding over the committee’s regular meeting in Khartoum, Jaber expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Khartoum International Airport Rehabilitation Committee, stressing the need to continue completing the remaining works in line with the standards and specifications required to obtain the Safe Operations Certificate.
Following a review of the Roads and Bridges Committee’s report, he also pledged that the necessary financial flows would continue to be provided to complete the committee’s projects as swiftly as possible. The committee revealed that work on rehabilitating several bridges had been completed, alongside ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation of many major roads across the capital’s various cities.
Ibrahim Jaber further emphasised the importance of adhering to international specifications in the implementation of road projects to meet all the requirements of road users, underlining the need to enforce legal regulations to curb negative practices on public roads and reduce visual pollution.
