Six dead, at least 20 missing in North Sudan Gold Mine Collapse

Six people were killed and more than 20 others remain missing after a gold mine collapsed on Friday in the Umm Oud area west of Berber.
Social media quoted the Executive Director of Berber Locality, Hassan Ibrahim Karar, as saying that efforts are still underway to rescue those trapped under the rubble, while some of the bodies of the deceased have been buried in the “Sallam Al-Nimrab” cemetery.
The Berber Locality Executive Director has mourned the deceased and prayed for their forgiveness and mercy. He expressed his hope that the rescue efforts would result in finding survivors inside the collapsing mine.
