Sinnar Diversity Festival Opens at Sinnar Center for Dialogue and Cultural Diversity

The Sinnar Diversity Festival opened today, Wednesday, at the Sinnar Center for Dialogue and Cultural Diversity, amid wide participation from experts and those interested in agricultural and cultural affairs.

The Acting Executive Director of Sennar Locality, Al-Zaki Ahmed Mohamed, pointed to the importance of the exhibition, which represents a major agricultural event due to the participation of huge number of experts and those interested in agricultural affairs, including a special section for the Arab Company for Seed Improvement. He also praised the efforts of those organizing the festival, stressing the importance of continuing such festivals that support agricultural and horticultural production, as well as forestry.

The director of the Sinnar Islamic Cultural Capital facilities explained that the festival will continue until Saturday, December 27th. He added that the exhibition includes discount markets and various displays, and features pavilions for the Community Development College at Sinnar University, the Women’s Union, the Sinnar Girls’ School, the Arab Company, flower exhibitions, and an exhibition for the Sinnar State Horticultural Sector.

There are also pavilions showcasing skills, handicrafts, and innovations. He noted that there are accompanying programs for the festival, including National Sacrifice Day, Sinnar Child Day, a consultative meeting with farmers on the role of using improved seeds, and a day dedicated to the Sinnar Literary Association.

Dr. Fatima Amer, Director of the Sinnar State Horticultural Sector, confirmed the sector’s participation with a comprehensive pavilion showcasing products, including fruits and vegetables suitable for cultivation, such as organic bananas and mangoes, which are available for export and processing industries. She also mentioned the inclusion of samples of promising products and the participation of eight nurseries in flower exhibitions. General Intelligence Director, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Bahaa El-Din, also praised the diversity and richness of the exhibition, stating that it was a brilliant gesture and an excellent initiative by those in charge of the festival.
