Saudi Prince Expresses Readiness to Enter Investments in Sudan’s Mining Sector

Sudanese Minister of Minerals, Nour Al-Daem Taha, discussed today (Saturday) in the Saudi capital Riyadh with His Royal Highness Prince Naif bin Abdullah bin Saud the major investment opportunities in Sudan’s mining sector.
The Minister of Minerals affirmed that the meeting highlighted the vast and untapped potential that Sudan possesses in the field of mining.
Taha pointed to the Prince’s interest in entering into multiple investments, reflecting the growing confidence of investors in the future of the sector and the transformations it is expected to witness in the coming period.
The minister explained that the discussions addressed prospects for partnership in mining and related industries, in light of a clear government orientation toward transforming mineral wealth into a genuine economic driver that contributes to supporting stability and growth.
Both sides stressed the depth and strength of the fraternal relations between Sudan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the importance of leveraging these relations to enhance economic and investment cooperation in a way that serves mutual interests and supports sustainable development paths in Sudan.
The Minister of Minerals reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to creating an attractive and flexible investment environment, providing the necessary facilitation, and opening doors to high-quality investments, in a manner that maximizes the benefit from mineral resources and accelerates the pace of national economic recovery.
