SAF: Khartoum Locality Free of Militias

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF )announced on Thursday that Khartoum Locality is now free of the rebel Rapid Support Forces militia.

The official Facebook page of the Armed Forces Spokesperson has stated that “Our forces, by the grace of God and His guidance, were able today to forcibly and skillfully clear the last pockets of the Daglo terrorist militia in Khartoum.”
The page noted that “there is absolutely no truth to the claims made by the militia and its supporters that their withdrawal from their positions was the result of an agreement with the government. This is exposed by their shameful escape before our victorious forces, abandoning their dead and equipment on the battlefields at various locations.”
Some websites and activists affiliated with the political force supporting the Rapid Support Forces militia have circulated reports and analyses suggesting that the militia’s withdrawal from Khartoum was based on an agreement with the armed forces.
