SAF: Al-Dagalo Militia Targets El Obeid City with Drones

A statement issued Sunday by the Office of the Spokesperson for the Sudanese Armed Forces said that the terrorist Rapid Support militia targeted several sites in the city of El Obeid, western Sudan, using suicide drones.

According to the statement, “In continuation of its violations of international law and the customs of war, the Al-Dagalo terrorist militia last night targeted several civilian facilities in the city of El Obeid with suicide drones, causing damage to the Teaching Hospital, Al-Dhaman Hospital, several residential neighborhoods, and some service facilities. No casualties were reported.”

The army described the attack as “not a victory for the scoundrels but rather a moral defeat and further proof of their persistence in defying international humanitarian law and harming innocent civilians.”

Meanwhile, Sudanese social media circulated reports overnight and into Sunday morning claiming that around 30 drones had targeted the city, most of which were reportedly intercepted by ground defenses.
