Political Parties Affairs Council Updates Parties’ Data

The Head of the Political Parties Affairs Council, Laila Osman Ibrahim, has announced the commencement of the periodic data update for all registered political parties in the country. This initiative is part of the Council’s efforts to enhance transparency and update the party registry for 2026.
She emphasized the importance of political parties submitting updated membership lists and financial statements by March 15, 2026. She explained that the updates include the names of the party leader and members of the leadership bodies, party headquarters, and approved annual budgets.
She noted that this step falls within the Council’s oversight and regulatory role to ensure that parties conduct their activities in accordance with the law and enhance their readiness for political events, thereby contributing to the consolidation of the principles of transparency and party democracy.
The Council Head urged political parties to fulfill the update requirements through official communication channels, including the Council’s website and email.
