Nilein University Organizes a Conference on Archaeological Studies

The Department of Archaeology at Nilein University, in cooperation with the Red Sea Basin Research and Studies Center, and Erytheria Publishing and Distribution House, is organizing the second conference on archaeological studies next Thursday, under the slogan (Archaeology.. Challenges of Reality and Prospects for the Future) with the participation of (37) researchers from (9) countries.
The conference, which will be held via Zoom, will address various scientific axes, including prehistoric antiquities in Sudan and the Arab world, the results of recent fieldwork, tourism and archaeological promotion, and settlement, in addition to the emergence of ancient cities, restoration and maintenance in archaeology, and the preservation of archaeological and cultural sites in light of political and security unrest, according to what was published on the university platform.
The conference also addresses the threats of settlement expansion on archaeological sites as a result of population displacement due to wars and how to address them.
