More Medical Equipment and Supplies from Qatar as Support for Sudan

The Sudanese Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, said that the Qatari government had approved projects to provide medical equipment and supplies to Sudan sufficient for 3 months, including (50) kidney dialysis machines, and to provide a list of essential life-saving medicines and some devices and equipment for major hospitals, in addition to supporting the treatment of chronic diseases represented by the pediatric heart surgery project and the oncology centre project.
He added that directives were also given to continue specialized surgical camps for Sudanese and Qatari doctors in various Sudan institutions.
In a press conference held in Doha following his meeting with the Qatari Minister of State for International Cooperation, Lulwa Al-Khater, the minister praised the great Qatari role in supporting Sudan’s projects, especially health and humanitarian support. The minister noted that the health system in Sudan, the needs, and Qatari projects in Sudan, such as development projects, were presented.
