More IDPs Arrive in Ad-Dabba from El Fasher

The number of families arriving at the “Azhari Al-Mubarak Camp” in Al-Afadh, Ad-Dabba locality, Northern State, has risen to 1,050, as 152 families arrived at the camp after the rebel militia entered El Fasher.

The head of the camp’s Emergency Committee has revealed that the complaints committee received 73 complaints on Thursday from women who were assaulted by the militia. 180 reports of violations committed against the complainants by the militia have been filed so far.

According to estimates by the Northern State government, the number of families arriving from the Kordofan and Darfur states in Ad-Dabba locality has reached 7,050, residing in various settlements.

The Northern State is also hosting approximately 32,000 families from other states. The head of the Emergency and Crisis Committee in Ad-Dabba locality, Al-Hassan Ibrahim, stated in a press conference today (Friday) that the Azhari Al-Mubarak camp in the Al-Afad area aims to erect 3,000 tents.

Seven hundred of these have already been installed, and another 1,200 are being prepared to reach the target number. In addition, 330,000 food baskets and complete shelter supplies have been provided. He noted the increasing number of people arriving at the camp following the rebellion’s entry into El Fasher.

In a press conference with a delegation from the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism’s initiative to the Northern State, Al-Hassan confirmed that the camp administration has formed seven committees responsible for providing food, psychological, health, and legal assistance to the displaced people.
