Khartoum -Sudanhorizon
The Sudanese Minister of Livestock and Fisheries, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tijani Al-Mansouri, has stated that his ministry has now moved from the theoretical planning phase to the practical implementation phase, and has already begun implementing 37 vital projects geographically distributed across all states of the country, in accordance with economic viability and spatial feasibility criteria.
The Minister emphasized that his ministry is about to launch a pivotal phase in the history of the national economy, as the ministry adopts a strategic roadmap with comprehensive developmental dimensions, aiming to attract and facilitate the flow of major investments and capital transfers estimated at $121 billion.
He added that these financial allocations will be the driving force for a structural renaissance encompassing the livestock production, fish farming, and poultry industries, in line with Sudan’s competitive advantage on the global stage.
According to the roadmap presented by the Minister, and summarized by the official Sudan News Agency, the Ministry will initiate the establishment of “integrated livestock production cities.”
These are advanced industrial and research complexes in each state, encompassing world-class slaughterhouses and processing industries for leather and meat, supported by advanced veterinary research centers.
The Minister indicated that the goal of this model is to shift from exporting raw materials to maximizing added value and ensuring the localization of modern technology at all stages of the production chain.
