Minister of Investment Introduces Infrastructure Projects to Russian Delegation

Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Ahlam Madani Mahdi Sabil, said that the war has cast negative shadows on all aspects of economic life, especially the massive destruction that has affected the infrastructure, pointing to ready projects developed by the Ministry of Investment to encourage investors to enter the infrastructure sector.
The Minister discussed with the delegation of the Russian Chamber of Commerce, which has been visiting Sudan for days, the available investment opportunities in Sudan and revealed the existence of ready projects for investors to invest in the field of infrastructure, including roads and railways, and in the field of energy and electricity due to their economic importance, which is what Sudan needs now, as well as free zone projects and activating the work of existing ones.
Ahlam explained that her ministry is attracting many investors to invest in Sudan, stressing that the land of Sudan is promising and virgin and that there are now opportunities that have not been isolated.
She stressed that Sudan will move forward with its strategies and plans set by the Ministry of Investment and the incentives and exemptions it has provided to attract investors and rebuild what the war has destroyed. She added that one of the positive aspects of the war was that it revealed Sudan’s resources, which its enemies covet. In return, it was an opportunity to arrange economic and investment relations. For its part, the Russian delegation confirmed its readiness to invest in Sudan and that the coming periods will witness the arrival of many Russian companies to engage in investment fields in Sudan.
