Minister of Animal Resources Calls on the United Nations to Assist in Localizing Vaccine Production

The Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources, Ahmed Al-Tijani Al-Mansouri, called on the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to assist the ministry in localizing vaccine production within the country.

This came during his meeting today (Wednesday) with the FAO Resident Representative in Sudan, Hong Pang, in the presence of the Ministry’s Undersecretary, Dr. Ammar Al-Sheikh Idris, at the ministry’s premises at the Animal Resources Research Corporation in Red Sea State.

The meeting discussed the support provided by the organization to develop animal resources services, particularly in the fisheries sector, animal health, and the vaccination of the national livestock herd for 2026, in addition to supporting exports.

For his part, Hong Pang, the FAO Resident Representative in Sudan, affirmed the continuation of cooperation with the ministry and support for upgrading and developing the animal resources sector and supporting livestock exports.
