Minawi: Mobilized Forces Ready, Encouragement for Popular Resistance

The Governor of Darfur and General Supervisor of the Joint Force, Minni Arko Minawi, met on Sunday with the Higher Committee for Mobilization and Recruitment in Darfur, headed by Police Lieutenant General Issa Adam Ismail, to follow up on mobilization efforts, field preparations, and to strengthen joint coordination.

Minawi received a comprehensive briefing on the committee’s work and the readiness level of the forces, as well as a review of the most prominent administrative and technical challenges facing the Higher Committee and training camps, and the proposed mechanisms for addressing them to ensure the continued efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

The head of the Higher Committee for Mobilization and Recruitment has meanwhile confirmed that the mobilized forces have received intensive combat training and are fully prepared to move to operation zone according to the established plans.

The Governor of Darfur praised the significant roles played by the Higher Committee for Mobilization and Recruitment despite the challenges, emphasizing the state’s commitment to addressing all the problems faced by the committee and training camps, enabling them to continue their national duties until the desired objectives are achieved.

He also commended the victories scored by the Armed Forces, the Joint Forces, the Popular Resistance, and the mobilized forces in defeating the Rapid Support Forces militia, calling for greater cohesion and coordination between the regular forces, the Popular Resistance, and the mobilized forces, and for strengthening national unity to achieve security and stability.

The meeting emphasized the importance of maintaining a united front, integrating official and popular efforts, and continuing to protect citizens, preserve the unity of the region, and work towards stabilizing Darfur and restoring normalcy to its regions.
